Now to convince three friends to do it with me......
PS: I just bought this book A Year of Biblical Womanhood: How a Liberated woman found herself sitting on her roof, covering her head, and calling her husband Master"
Here's a tidbit of an explanation on the book:
"With just the right mixture of humor and insight, compassion and incredulity, A Year of Biblical Womanhood is an exercise in scriptural exploration and spiritual contemplation. What does God truly expect of women, and is there really a prescription for biblical womanhood? Come along with Evans as she looks for answers in the rich heritage of biblical heroines, models of grace, and all-around women of valor."
Should be interesting!
That book is on my "To Read" list. It's been the center of quite a bit of controversy. I'll be interested to hear what you think!
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting, because many years ago I read a book called The Year of Living Biblically, by A.J. Jacobs, an editor at Esquire, and no one was saying how controversial that was. Although, he wasn't a Christian, so maybe no one cared that a non-Christian was trying to live biblically. I thought it was hilarious. He also wrote a book about reading the entire set of Encyclopedia Brittanicas in one year. Also funny.
